Some time back, I had penned this blog entry:
..where the Cash on Camera scam which resulted in 11 MPs being expelled, was discussed. Nearly a year later, the Supreme Court decided to upheld this decision by Parliament to throw these legislators out of Parliament, a significantly landmark decision, predictably welcomed by incumbent Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Somnath Chatterjee.
Hopefully this judgement acts as some kind of notice to errant MPs, who still populate the so called hallowed desks of India's popularly elected national legislature.
